Platypus Fishing Line: Australia's strongest fishing line since 1898

Knots & Rigs Allbright Used to join line to leader

  1. Step 1 - click to enlarge Step 1. Double the last few centimetres of the heavier monofilament leader and thread the lighter line through, then around, the resulting loop.
  2. Step 2 - click to enlargeStep 2. Continue wrapping down the loop in the heavier monofilament leader with the lighter line.
  3. Step 3 - click to enlarge Step 3. Make five wraps down the loop then commence wrapping in the other direction, back over the first wraps you made.
  4. Step 4 - click to enlarge Step 4. Complete five wraps in each direction and thread the tag back through the loop alongside the main line.
  5. Step 5 - click to enlarge Step 5. Partially close the knot first with gentle pressure on the main line and tag of both leader and line.
  6. Step 6 - click to enlarge Step 6. When the knot begins to tighten, let both the tag of the line, and the tag if the leader, go. Then tighten the knot with firm pressure on line against leader.
  7. Step 7 - click to enlarge Step 7. Close the knot and trim the tags.
